Military Honors were held at the cemetery. The ceremony was beautiful, emotional, tearful and filled me with pride for Papa's accomplishments.

The cemetery staff informed us that Papa is entitled to a marker from the VA. I've got the name, rank, branch of service, religious symbol, dates and medal documentation ready. What I am having difficulty with is the proper phrasing for the engraving at the bottom of the marker.
