			<description><![CDATA[ This evening, April 30, the Documentary Channel had John Huston(who is he?) showing films taken in Italy. The 143rd Infantry Regt. was mentioned many times in
the taking of San Pietro. Also excellent pictures of the Italian civilians and men of the 143rd. The 143rd Regt. took in 1100 replacements after the town was
taken. Many of the pictures in the Pictorial History were in this documentary. Italian women carrying boxes, barrels, etc. on their heads was interesting. One

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>Our Papa was buried today.  Military Honors were held at the cemetery.  The ceremony was beautiful, emotional, tearful and filled me with pride for
Papa&#39;s accomplishments.

The cemetery staff informed us that Papa is entitled to a marker from the VA.  I&#39;ve got the name, rank, branch of service, religious symbol, dates and
medal documentation ready.  What I am having difficulty with is the proper phrasing for the engraving at the bottom of the marker.

			<description><![CDATA[ Hi All-- I am helping a friend find info on her father who was a POW in WWII. I&#39;ve been trying to interpret the NARA info on him and I think I read the
parent unit info as 143rd Regiment, which would fit with the timing of his capture. The parent unit number was 0143 and the parent unit type was 06. Does this
sound familiar to anyone? I saw a couple of postings that indicated there is a regiment roster somewhere available, but didn&#39;t know how to access it. His

My great-uncle was in the 36th, but I don&#39;t remember which regiment. I had seen a roster somewhere on the internet years ago, but can&#39;t remember where.

Any ideas? He was in the 36th only for a while, and never shipped out due to almost dieing from his inoculations.

My grandfather was part of the invasion of Italy, that was in the Salerno Bay at Paestum on Sept. 9, 1943. We plan to attend the next ceremony on Sept. 9th. My
grandfather&#39;s name was Roberto Reyes Subia.. Before he passed away in 1969 he left my mother a copy of the map from the Invasion of Italy that mentions the
5 Battle Stars and 2 Amphibious Assaults. She has kept this copy in a safe place, and the map is complete. We are not sure if this is something that is already... ]]></description>

find out exactly what the written commendation said? It is my understanding that everyone who received the Combat Infantryman Badge also received the Bronze
Star. If this is so, and I think it is, would there still be a citation accompanying each recipient&#39;s medal, or at least a citation/commendation in

Is there a list of members I can verify his service? He may have been in the Air Guard instead of Infantry Division.

His was Lt. Col. George D. McMorries and possibly stationed at Hensley Field, Grand Prairie Texas and the Pentagon.

Ultimately I&#39;m looking a photo of him in uniform for our family records.
