Within the next week or so, Ezboard will transfer the museum forums to their Yuku board. You need to do nothing.

We are searching for a dependable, responsible person to become Curator of Clothing and Accoutrements.

How to obtain After/Action Reports

Those interested in obtaining after/action reports and similar documents should use the following letter from the National Archives and Records Administration, Modern Military Records Unit as your guide. Though the letter specifically mentions the 36th Infantry Division, the information applies equally to the 124th Cavalry Regiment.

Museum Volunteers Needed

We are faced with a serious volunteer shortage, especially on Wednesdays and Fridays. As museum visitation gradually increases, as is currently happening, and the number of galleries increase, we now need to have a minimum of four volunteers on duty each day we are open. As we progress, that number will increase.

Anyone interested in spending one or two days a week working with the museum is requested to call (512) 782-5659 or (512) 782-5195 as soon as possible.

New Access Procedure For Visiting The Museum

Access to Camp Mabry for visiting The Texas Military Forces Museum has changed, effective 22 March 2002.

The method is to go to the Maintenance Drive gate, tell the MPs that you are visiting the museum, fill out the information on the form given out by the MP, receive a visitor pass and proceed to the museum. No prior arrangements are necessary, except for special tours (as in the past). Individuals with Military IDs do not require a pass.
