Jeff Hunt formerly of the Nimitz Museum will be be the new director.

Major changes to the main gallery of the museum have already taken place.

As a person who has seen their share of death on the battle field I find it very distrubing that someone with a degree in History, no active duty was hired to run this complex.

In addition to our dedicated docents we also desperately need volunteers in the following areas:

Military Weapons Conservation:
For ongoing maintenance and cleaning of small arms.

Clothing Storage and Conservation:
We are searching for a dependable, responsible person to become Curator of Clothing and Accoutrements.

Motor Vehicle Services:
Individuals to help the Vehicle Maintenance Crew work on military vehicles.

CAMP MABRY, Austin, Texas (Feb. 7, 2006) The Texas Military Forces Museum here received a new name Feb. 4. It is now the Brig. Gen. John C.L. Scribner Texas Military Forces Museum.

The event celebrating the renaming also marked a birthday, an anniversary and a retirement

in 1986,1987-?in Denton, and/ Ft. Worth. I was in his Company from 1986-1987.
