Just managed to get my hands on the citation for my Father&#39;s Silver Star and was wondering if anyone remembered this action.  If I read the dates right it
occured during the push through the Haguenau forest during the break out to the German border.




  David Charles Rosenbluth, 32828105, Private First Class, Company A, 141st Infantry Regiment, 36th Division, for gallantry in
  action on 17 March 1945 in France.  As a rifle platoon was dismounting from a truck, an enemy... ]]>

			<description><![CDATA[ Congratulations to David Rosenbluth for his heroism. Most of us went around the Hagenau Woods after crossing a hastily built bridge at Pfaffaffenhoffen.
Elements of the 141st RCT went thru the woods to open this better highway north to Wissembourg. This was the beginning of our Spring Drive to fight through the
Sigfried Line and into Germany. It was essentially our last big combat mission as a Division. I did not know David but it was a few good men like him who made
our missions successful.... ]]></description>
