        <![CDATA[  Hello, I'm a member of A Co. 3-141 now stationed in the Valley in south Texas. I was deployed to Afghanistan for a tour against Terror in 2005/2006. I honor deeply my former members of the 36ID that fought before me. My unit still remembers the history and still wears the Presidential citation on our class A's that was earned at Salerno, Italy. I think it would be nice to see a section on the website that recognizes the victories and the accomplishments of the modern 36ID. Me and my fellow... ]]>

			<description><![CDATA[ I wish to thank James Hampton and the other 36ers for their service in tha Middle East.  The biggest news of the year is that the Surge is working!  One
General on TV stated that a day never goes by but that Iraqi civilians come to Allied soldiers and report roadside bombs or IED&#39;s.  Osama bin Laden even
appologized to the people of Iraq for causing so many civilian deaths due to suicide bombers.  The tribal chieftons have now decided to support USA policy
rather than violence.  I hope... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I was with the SVC 3/133rd FA (El Paso) when the 56th BCT went to Iraq. We were detached from the rest of the Brigade and sent to Tikrit and worked with HQ
42nd ID NYARNG at Forward Operating Base Danger. We were at the tip of the Triangle and at one of Sadam&#39;s palace complex&#39;s. We provided security to the
FOB, Objective Midland, FOB Speicher for a while, and convoy esocurts. We lost one Vehicle to a mine, came close on a few IED&#39;s, and was on the reciving

			<description><![CDATA[ I think that would be fantastic.......we would love to hear about your service and the history you are making now.<br><br>Our San Antonio Chapter of 36th Veterans is dedicated to trying to honor you young soldiers and let you know that they certainly care about what you are doing today.  Each September 9th, we have our annual 'Take a Soldier to Lunch' event after our ceremony downtown at the 141st Monument.  We honor the day the 36th landed in Salerno Bay at Paestum, and take active duty 36th... ]]></description>
