Dear Fellow Veterans:
I hope this New Year will bring you peace and happiness and that your holiday season also went well. My intent in this correspondence is to give you an update on the Campaign for the National Museum of the United States Army for the last quarter of CY 2006.
We will be starting an official Grass Roots Program in mid-to-late spring. We will provide kits to volunteers in local communities to help them promote the Museum. These kits will include such items as hats, tee shirts, promotional literature, and other useful items.
The Registry of the American Soldier is coming along very well! On 31 August 2006 we had 25,550 Army Veterans registered and on 31 December 2006 we had 37,405 registered! Please continue to pass the word to currently serving Soldiers and all other Army Veterans that you come in contact with to please go to www.armyhistory.org or call 1-800-506-2672 to register. Enrollment is free! Even if someone isnt a Soldier or Army Veteran, but has family members or friends who are, they can register for them on line or via the phone number provided.
If you or any of the organizations that you may be a member of need Museum promotional material, please contact me immediately. I will gladly mail or FedEx you or the organization the material right away; just provide a mailing address.
