I know prior to 1948, black units in the military were segregated. Can anyone confirm that the black squadron on Ellingotn Field after World War II was Squadron F? Any black soliders out there who were at Ellington ever? I need inof for my master's thesis on the hsitory of Ellington Field,and find very little info on segregation, desegregation, or the presence of black soldiers at Ellington, but the station information indicated there were 1342. black enlisted men and some warrant officers..
