I just found some great stuff on James Minor and Col. Lynch of 1st Batallion 142nd Regiment. Type CATD Infantry Monograph and the author was Siscoe. It
describes a stealth march of 142nd Regiment Company B and A into Ober-Otterbach Siegfried Line Action. Lots on Batallion commander Minor and 142nd regiment
commander Lynch here. Also tremendous wealth of WWII actions. These are used at FT. Benning to train infantry.

Can anyone tell me where the 1st batallion command post was at Selestat? Where was Hq's company located? What was the atmosphere in headquarters? Thanks

Can anyone tell me what the role of headquarters troops at Selestat might be? I noticed in another WWII book that the HQ's troops took the prisoners that
were captured. Would this be the same in Selestat? Also???What would the role of replacement troops be at Selestat? Would they be organized for carrying
parties of food and water to the rear? Would they participate in much patrolling?
