My Grandfather was in C Troop. Emil Ramlow. I will ask him about your father. We just returned from the reunion in Dallas and there was only one other C Trooper there. Amongst the paperwork you have on C Troop, do you have anything pertaining to my grandfather?

Dear Dave,
My family lost an uncle during WWII in Papua New Guinea. I believe he was with F Troop. His name was George "Buddy" Grandberry. He was from Winona, Texas which is about a 100 miles east of Dallas. He was at the Driniumor River and I believe he died around Vanimo in 1944. Do you think your dad might have known him? My mother and grandmother (Buddy's sister) are trying to reconstruct his history during the war. I think we might have some letters. I will ask my mom to confirm what troop he was in and if there is anything we have that we could share with you. |

Hello
My father served with the 112th calvary from 1944 till 47 I think. He passed away in 1991, although he never spoke much about the war, his best buddy in the war sent us a tape. I listen to the tape every memorial day, and let the tears roll down my cheeks with pride. If you had a memeber of your family who served in the 112th calvary you should be quite proud. I know that I sure am. My dads name is Lewic C Adams they all called in Milo. His buddys name is Mayo Davis he passed away a few years ago. I remeber when dad was still living he went to a couple of reunions in Dallas. I was just messing around on the computer and googled 112th, and eventually led me here. I think my dad was in F troop. I know he was at the Driniumor River. Was really bad times during that part of the was. Lewis C Adams is his name. Passed away in 1991. Went by the name of Milo in the war. |
