I'm looking for information that would help me confirm if my grandfather, Tech Sgt. Jesus L. Trevino, served with the 62nd Engineer Combat Battalion during its building of the Alcan Highway and it actions in the Aleutians. We just got a re-issue of some of his medals from NPRC but they were all campaign ribbons; no personal awards were sent as his records were lost in the St. Louis fire.
I'd like to see if he had earned any personal awards and,since I'm 80% positive he was in the 62nd ECB, I figured I'd start there.
