Does anyone know of a Texas flag made in 1845 when Texas joined the Union? It looks like the present flag, but the lone star is made up of 28 stars(the 28 states). A link to a picture or the name of a book in which the picture is would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

TAhe US Flag with 28 stars is exactly like the one we use today except there were four rows of seven stars.
Folr more information, refer to Flags of Texas by Charles E Gilbert, Jr, which should be in most libraries in Texas. Got any more flag questions? One of my hobbies just happends to be vexillology. Sorry it took me so long to see your query! Gene |

Okay Mr. Pettit, where can I get a reproduction of the Republic of Texas Navy Ensign without spending $400 to $600 (quoted prices from local North Texas flag shops), to have it made custom? The Libirian national flag is close, however, the single star is smaller than the star on the RTN's flag. Any ideas?
