We are faced with a serious volunteer shortage, especially on Wednesdays and Fridays. As museum visitation gradually increases, as is currently happening, and the number of galleries increase, we now need to have a minimum of four volunteers on duty each day we are open. As we progress, that number will increase.
Anyone interested in spending one or two days a week working with the museum is requested to call (512) 782-5659 or (512) 782-5195 as soon as possible.
We are planning to conduct a one-day training course for all of our volunteers as soon as we acquire a few more. The training will consist of a minimum of eight hours of hands-on, interactive training. Snacks and lunch will be provided free of charge.
