Posts: 2 (09/11/06 23:40:20) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None Hi Troops I am in the process of cleaning out my Mother's estate, and I came across this photo (bear with me on seeing it - as it will take a hand scanner to input it - it is one of those old stlye photos about 2.5 feet long) - It shows 2nd Brigade Cavalry - Camp Mabry, Texas - August 11, 1920 BrigGen McDill Comd.G. On the back is H.L.Summerville Photographer 241 West Commerce St. San Antonio Texas. Now I believe that my Grandfather W.B.Autrey served in this unit .....I would like any and all info and data on this Unit. Semper Fi, Ontos Ps If yall are still looking for volunteers to do maintenance on weapons, I may be able to help you. I am a graduate Of PMA and a former Marine.

If you will bring it to the Museum we can process it and even scan it for you. Our librarian can provide you with more information on the the 22nd Brigade Cavalry. We are definately interested in have you as a volunteer. When you come to the museum ask for John Wright or Pat Simpson. They are here Mon thru Fri 8 - 4. The museum is open Wed - Sun 10 to 4.

The 2nd Cavalry Brigade Headquarters was disbanded by Special Orders No 254, HEADQUARTERS NATIONAL GUARD OF TEXAS ADJUTANT GENERAL'S DEPARTMENT, Austin, Texas, Dec. 16, 1920. This is all the information that I have found so far, but if you could get me more information on you grandfather I will try to locate some more info for you.
