Hello All,
My name is Billy Tucci and I am a comic book writer/artist. I am currently bringing back the old DC comics character Sgt. Rock for a six issue miniseries. The story I've chosen focuses on the 141st Regiment's heroic stand that labeled them the "Lost Battalion". The events take place over the six days in October 1944 in the Vosges mountains and will also showcase the Japanese/American "Nisei" soldiers of the 442nd RCT . Rock and Easy will be a replacement company in the 1st Battalion and be among 275 men of "Alamo" Regiment trapped by the massive German force. I want this Sgt. Rock series to be like no other ever seen before. Very realistic and true to the actual events of the battle. Being Airborne myself, I am striving for true authenticity and have researched the events like a maniac, but of course, want as much as possible and feel here is the best place to get it. I've employed many reenactors to help with the various uniform and weapon aspects. If you need to check on my work, please go to out my website below. Again, thanks for your time and again, any help would be greatly appreciated. My email is billytucci@optonline.net and can forward my story treatment and the first two (of four) scripts. The links should also have some of my artwork. I do have one question:
Can anyone tell me the name or number of the ridge overlooking La Houssier? Was it Hill 351? Was there a name at all?
Again, this story is very important to me and I want to do it right. Of course, some liberties have to be made, (for example, E Company being a replacement for Bravo in the 1st Bat.) but promise to do the men justice and let many who might not know of their heroic stand realize just what they did up there.
With much respect,
Billy Tucci
