A site visit to the new Texas Historical marker at Texas wildflower season to the league granted DeWitt Colonist, member of the Gonzales Ranger Alamo Relief Force and Alamo Defender Andrew Kent revealed a taste of what the beauty of the land must have been when it was settled in 1829 under the Mexican Empresario System and why it was worth fighting for in addition to principles of independence and freedom.
